Welcome To HogwARTS

Do you love Harry Potter...then Welcome To HogwARTS may be just for you! Once sorted, artists will create Wizard Crafts. Make your own wand, spell book, invisible ink, potions, and miniature magical creatures. Create a mini Hogwarts Trunk, hand painted t-shirt with your   favorite Harry Potter scene or character, and Harry Potter coins. Also, Harry Potter themed games and book discussions will enhance the days.

If I Were An Artist In

Colonial Times

If you were an artist during Colonial

Times what would you create? In

this workshop, step back in time and

experience firsthand the arts and

crafts that Colonial children

created. Make homemade toys like 

dolls, tops, marbles, jump ropes and

rolling hoops. Create a miniature

quilts while learning about designs

used like the Crow's Foot, Chinese

Puzzle, Love-knot, and Sunflower.

Sculpt "Plymouth Rock" using paper

mache and found objects. And spend

each day making art and playing

Colonial games, while making new

friends.

The Art

Of SPORTS

Do you get a kick out of sports...then Welcome To The Art of SPORTS. Every day, artists will create pieces based on a “sport of the day”. Design a jersey, hand paint a soccer ball, create a plaster glaze sports figure, and make a 3D sports scene. Learn to draw sports figures, create your own sports themed game, and hand paint your own basketball. Along with creating art about sports, we will take a break each day and play some sports!

Wearable Art

Imagine wearing art that you created? In this fun program, artists will create a necklace using sea glass and other ocean objects, learn the art of batik while making a beautiful throw, tye dye an outfit for a hand stuffed teddy bear, hand paint a t-shirt using new painting techniques, and create an African face mask used in a ceremonial dance. Artists will also make bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in this fun and creative program.
